Application development
Custom Application Development Built Around the Way Your Business Works
When operations still run on spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups, data gets scattered and reports are always late. We build web and mobile applications around how your team works, connect them to the systems you already use, and look after them after launch.

What you get
- Designed around your workflow
- A progress demo at every stage
- Connected to your current systems

If two or more of these sound familiar, your business processes have outgrown the tools you use today.
Signs it's time
If your team still works like this, a custom application is worth considering
The problem rarely looks big at first. But bit by bit, your team's time goes on work that a system should be doing.
Data scattered across spreadsheets and group chats
Every department has its own version. When you need a reliable figure, someone has to gather it all up and reconcile it by hand.
The same data typed in again and again
Sales records an order, the warehouse admin retypes it, then finance types it in once more. Every repeat is another chance for a mistake.
Reports always arrive late
Decisions wait for the weekly or monthly summary, even though things on the ground have already moved on.
Off-the-shelf software doesn't fit your workflow
Your team ends up adapting to the software rather than the other way round, or quietly goes back to doing things manually.
Your old system is hard to build on
Adding even a small feature feels risky, the original vendor is hard to reach, and there is no documentation to rely on.
Application types
The custom applications we build most often
Each type of application has a different focus. Choose the one closest to what you need, and we'll help you map out the rest during the consultation.
- Web Apps & Internal SystemsBrowser-based internal systems, employee and partner portals, and well-organised approval workflows.

- Mobile Apps (Android & iOS)Android and iOS apps for field teams and customers, taken all the way to launch on the Play Store and App Store.

- ERP, CRM & Inventory SystemsMulti-warehouse stock with barcodes, sales pipelines, purchase orders and reports that are always up to date.

- System Integration & APIsConnecting your ERP, accounting software, marketplaces, payment gateway and WhatsApp so data moves between them without being re-entered.

- Dashboards & Business IntelligenceManagement dashboards that bring together data from multiple systems and update automatically.

Capabilities
The features businesses need most often
Every application is built around your requirements. These are the capabilities we add most often, and they can be combined to suit how your team works.
Access permissions and audit logs
Everyone sees only the menus and data for their own role, and every change is logged: who changed what, and when.
Email and WhatsApp notifications
Approvals, reminders and order updates go automatically to the right people.
Reports and Excel/PDF export
Reports that used to take hours to put together can be downloaded at any time.
Barcodes, QR codes and offline mode
Stock only needs to be scanned, and field teams can keep recording data in areas with no signal.
Multiple branches and warehouses
One system across multiple locations, with reports for each branch or all branches combined.
Payments, accounting and APIs
Connected to the payment gateways, accounting software and partner systems you already use.
Methodology
How we build a custom application
We work in two-week sprints, and at the end of each one you try the result yourself.
Book a ConsultationDiscovery
Together with your team, we map out the workflows, users and data involved.
Deliverable: Scope document, feature priorities and estimate.
Prototype
The main flows and screens are built as a clickable prototype that future users can try out.
Deliverable: Prototype and approved feature list.
Two-week sprints
Features are built in stages. Each sprint ends with a demo and a version you can try.
Deliverable: A version of the app you can try every two weeks.
UAT
Your team tests real workflows with sample data. Any issues found are fixed before go-live.
Deliverable: Signed UAT acceptance record.
Go-live & training
The app is deployed to the production server, initial data is migrated, and users are trained.
Deliverable: User guide and technical documentation.
Maintenance
Monitoring, fixes and further feature development based on user feedback.
Widely used technology that anyone can maintain
We choose popular, well-documented technology, so your application doesn't depend on any single vendor, including us.

An application that's secure and ready to grow with you
Your data is protected from the first day of the project, and the application is built to be easy to maintain and extend after launch.
Role-based access
Each user only sees the data and menus that match their role in your business.
Technical documentation
Database structure, system flows, and deployment are documented, so the application is easy to maintain and extend.
NDAs and data security
We sign an NDA before we see your data, and access is limited to what the project needs.
Bug warranty
Functional errors after go-live are fixed free of charge during the warranty period set out in the contract.
Scheduled backups
Data is backed up automatically, and we test the restore procedure.
Hosting options
On your own servers, in the cloud, or managed by Webzoo. The choice is yours.
Choose how we work together
Choose the option that best fits how your team works. Cost depends on the number of modules, integrations, platforms and user roles.
| Model | Project-based | Dedicated team (retainer) | Maintenance & SLA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Businesses with fairly clear requirements that want a fixed cost and timeline from the outset. | Businesses whose needs keep evolving and that need a consistent development team. | Applications already in use that need to stay secure, fast and up to date. |
| Scope |
|
|
|
| Billing | Paid in instalments by project stage. | Monthly retainer. | Monthly or annual contract. |
The exact figure is set out in your proposal after the discovery session.

Frequently asked questions
Still have questions?
Talk directly with our team, without confusing technical jargon.
Or email us at halo@webzoo.id
How long does it take to build a custom application?
It depends on the number of modules and integrations. After discovery, you receive a schedule for each phase. Many applications can be put to use early, as a first version with the most important features, then expanded in stages.
How much does application development cost?
Cost depends on the number of modules, integrations with other systems, platforms (web, Android, iOS) and user roles. Starting ranges for each type of project are on our Pricing page, and the exact figure is set out in the proposal after discovery.
Can the application connect to our existing systems?
Yes, as long as that system provides an API or data access. We connect applications to accounting software, marketplaces, payment gateways, WhatsApp and ERP systems.
Where will the application be hosted?
On your own servers, in the cloud with a provider such as AWS or Google Cloud, or on servers we manage. We'll help you work out the server requirements.
How does maintenance work once the app is live?
During the warranty period, bugs are fixed free of charge. After that, a maintenance contract with an SLA is available: monitoring, backups, security updates and an agreed response time.
Will Webzoo sign an NDA?
Yes, before we see any of your internal data or documents.
How is a custom application different from off-the-shelf software?
Off-the-shelf software is made for many businesses at once, so your team has to adapt to its workflow. A custom application is built around your workflow, and you can add features as you need them.
What if our requirements change mid-project?
That's perfectly normal. Changes are discussed at the start of the next sprint, their impact on schedule and cost is explained in writing, and work only begins once you approve.
Tell us about the workflow you want to sort out
We'll study the process, then show you which parts are most worth automating first. Our team will get back to you within 1 business day.
